Mother of Invention
Based on Aesop's fable "The Crow and the Pitcher."In the tale the crow happens across a pitcher with water in it, however the water is just out of his reach. The crow decides to use his surroundings to raise the water level in order to drink. The moral of this story is, necessity is the mother of invention. In this painting, I convey my thoughts on America's oil dependence, and how I feel mankind as a whole needs to be more like the crow. It is a necessity that we free ourselves from oil dependence now more than ever before.
